More importantly than my degrees (Bachelor’s in Psychology + Master’s in Education from UCLA) and my 30+ year career in Behavior Analysis (Board Certified), I am a mother who’s been through it with my children 😮‍💨

I was once so overwhelmed by my kids, I’ve sometimes wished I never had them. I yelled at my son off and on for at least 10 years. Damn, I was so tempted to type 5 years, instead of 10, because I can still connect with the shame.

I was utterly disassociated throughout those years. I felt bad for yelling, but I didn’t feel the full impact of what I was doing until years later, when the damage had been done. And by damage, I mean the terrible impact on his self-image, self-worth, and self-esteem and the damage to our relationship. All these years later (he’s 26 now), we continue to experience the massive gift of repair. I didn’t feel much in my body back then, but I sure knew how to beat myself up for being a horrible mom. Because “good moms don’t yell”. And I was a yeller.

And then one day at the kitchen counter, right next to the microwave in front of the small window, I paused and asked myself, “What are you making his behavior mean?”. The answer came right away. I was making it mean, “I don’t respect you, Mom. I don’t even know if I love you.” OUCH. It was the “truth” my body had been running on for longer than I even knew.

That pause was just the first step. Then I learned to ask myself questions and read my body’s responses. Not easy for a woman who had been in survival mode and running on chronic stress for my entire life. But it was the key to unraveling all my “horrible mom behavior”.

I’ve teared up twice while writing this. If you’ve teared up at all reading it, I want you to let yourself cry some more. Do not wipe the tears away and get back to the 15 things you were doing. You’ve been overwhelmed and under-resourced for a looooong time.

Out of all this pain that existed even before my son was born — because my rage and grief as a child had no soft place to land — I created a system of support to help other moms like us: disassociated, dysregulated, hurting, and believing we must be hopeless.

I know you don’t believe it right now, but you’re not hopeless.

I help parents see and rewire the patterns driving their hardest moments . . . with their children, students, and spouses—using real-time pattern recognition, nervous system mapping, and personalized support.

Because most of what you’ve been told to do?
It doesn’t work when your nervous system is overwhelmed. Most parenting advice fails because dysregulation cannot be solved with a sticker chart.

I’m wired to see what others miss.

I move quickly. I get to the root. And while you can’t see the way out (of course you can’t, you’re in the middle of the storm). . . I see it.

Where things feel chaotic, confusing, and emotionally-charged— I see the solution.

Not by giving you more to do, but by helping you understand what’s actually happening in real time, so you can learn to move differentlyin those moments, and in the way you’re uniquely designed to move.

My work blends behavior analysis, nervous system awareness, and a deep respect for individuality.

I’m not here to mold your child into compliance.
And I’m not here to hand you generic parenting strategies.

I’m here to help you build something that actually works for your family—something that is truly individualized, grounded, and real.

There’s a part of me that leads with directness and truth.

And there’s a biiiig part of me that is deeply devoted to the mothers doing this work every day—especially the ones who didn’t experience the nurturing of a present mother. . . or father.

The ones holding a lot. . . mmm, too much.
The ones DIY’g most things.
The ones ready to ask for help.

At my core, I’m here to be of service.

To families.
To children.

To schools.
To teachers.
To the nervous systems carrying more than they were ever meant to carry alone.

Not by overextending myself (like I was conditioned to do), but by doing this work myself (10+ years and going), honoring my nervous system capacity (and that of my children) while also building it in baby steps, honoring my design and that of my children (one of which is still home with me so honoring her nervous system capacity while honoring my own is also a very-present practice), and offering my expertise to support families, schools, and other organizations in creating new, healthier patterns of relating. ❤️‍🩹

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, constantly “on,” or stuck in patterns that keep repeating no matter what you try. . .

You’re not doing it wrong.

You’re in a nervous system loop that hasn’t been named yet.

I help you name the loop and show you the way through in my Regulated Family Strategy Sessions.

Ready to see what you’ve been unable to see yourself? Not because you’re not brilliant. Of course you’re brilliant.

The reality is

— your body has been moving in unconscious patterns for many moons, likely since your own early childhood

— and we all need support to make the unconscious, conscious. 🤗

Ready? Excellent.

I’ll be right by your side as we gain clarity, say yes to grounded support, and a create a different way forward. 🤍
