Are you addicted to stress?

After months of coaching her, one of my clients told me yesterday, she finally sees how ingrained her addiction to adrenaline is.

Until we started working together, she hadn't noticed she constantly rushes herself and her children from one activity to the next and unconsciously packs as much into her day as possible

She hadn't noticed when she finds 20 extra minutes in her day, she automatically and unconsciously fills those 20 minutes so she’s rushing rushing rushing to get out the door and on to the next to-do.

She shared with me how the previous two times she had taken her daughter to ballet, she rushed herself and both of her children to get there and her daughter had a really hard time before, during, and after the lesson. Then she told me that the next time she took her daughter to ballet, she consciously chose to give herself 30 extra minutes to focus solely on getting to ballet with zero stress. And you guessed it, her daughter had her best lesson of those three and everyone, including her other child, felt good before, during, and after the lesson.

She then shared that her mother was always rushing and packed every minute of everyday with activity, which of course means my client has been ingrained in this pattern for over 35 years.

This pattern wasn't created in a week and it won't be reversed that quickly either.

Her addiction to adrenaline is strong, but she's reversing it, and the ripple effects on her children, family, friends, and students will be glorious!
